I bought this Burris RT-25 online for entry-level PRS matches. The SCR 2 MIL tree reticle is perfectly designed; the 0.2 MIL holdover increments are sharp but incredibly clean. Being a front focal plane scope, the grid sub-tensions scale beautifully from 5x to 25x without clogging up your target sight picture.

Before mounting this on my custom 6.5 Creedmoor, I ran it through a 10-MIL grid box test to verify the internal turret alignment. The scope tracked out perfectly and returned identically to its starting point. Burris’s mechanical quality control on these internal erector springs is stellar.

Normally, high-magnification scopes build an incredibly tight, finicky eye box at 25x. While the exit pupil narrows down slightly at full zoom, the RT-25 eye box remains remarkably forgiving, letting you maintain a solid cheek weld even during awkward barricade positional shooting.

With 19.4 MILs of total elevation adjustment available, I have plenty of internal room to dial out past 900 meters without needing a steep 20 MOA canted base plate. Pairing the internal turret travel with the SCR 2 tree grid makes mapping multi-distance targets effortless.
